We’ve been gently ribbing V Rising about its extended stay in early access for almost two years now, but in its defense, Stunlock Studios has been talking up the game’s next big patch since 2022, when it was still anticipating a Q2 2024 date.
And Stunlock Studios wasn’t fibbing: It officially announced today that it’s launching the vampire survivalbox out of early access on May 8th, with PlayStation 5 to follow later this year.
The game’s most recent dev blog previews some of the new content the devs have been teasing for the last few months, including spell points divided by spell school and tier, the redesigned spellbook, abilities through the Altar of Stygian Awakening, and a tool for relocating player castles.
The announcement cinematic trailer is below.
