With her purple leopard jacket, it’s easy to mistake Jimmy’s mom as a cool mom. However, underneath all that makeup is a negligent narcissist who would rather go on vacation than raise her child.
Jimmy’s mom doesn’t have a lot of screen time, but it’s easy to get a feel for her character. She drops Jimmy off at a boarding school called Bullworth Academy, so she can go on a year-long cruise with her fifth husband. While this evil mom doesn’t have superpowers, she’s still selfish and distant.

The Boss is a notorious soldier and the biological mother of Revolver Ocelot, an operative on Snake’s team.
Unlike other evil mothers in video games, The Boss wasn’t always an antagonist. She is a good character turned evil because she’s a loyal soldier who always follows orders. In Metal Gear Solid 3, she is instructed to defect to the Soviet Union under orders to infiltrate Volgin’s army. Eventually, when Snake takes her down, it’s bittersweet since she was a maternal figure and friend before she turned foe.

Some people find a sense of morality through religion. Mother Boss in The Binding of Isaac is the exact opposite. She believes God commanded her to sacrifice her son to prove her devotion.
Mother Boss is a woman corrupted by her faith. Thankfully, Isaac can escape through the trapdoor in his room before she can inflict any real damage, aside from the emotional scarring, of course. At the end of the game, players battle Mother Boss who takes up most of the screen, sending boulders and squirmy bugs in Isaac’s direction.

While Anabella and Jenova are also terrible mothers in the Final Fantasy series, Queen Brahne stands out due to how much she denies her evil ways.
Brahne is one of the most powerful queens in video games. She can summon vicious beasts called Eidolon to do her bidding and has accrued an army of Black Mage to invade neighboring countries. This evil knows no bounds, but it only started after her husband suddenly died. She opts to wage war rather than stay on the good side like her daughter, Princess Garnet.

The Alien Queen is one of the worst mothers of all time. She first appeared in Alien, a well-regarded horror movie released in 1979.
Every version of the Queen across the Alien movies and games is a bit different, but the common thread is her being the matriarch and leader of the Xenomorphs. The queen will do anything for her hive, which makes her one of the best final boss battles in all the games. She’s not evil to her children, but she’s evil to the players.

Flemeth isn’t evil just because she’s a witch. Rather, it’s what she becomes after summoning a spirit to exact revenge on her husband, a man who locked her in a tower.
Once possessed, Flemeth becomes a shadow of her former self. She is a cruel creature living in the wild with a powerful thirst for blood. Her husband, Bann Conobar, doesn’t stand a chance against this games/”>powerful female character. Eventually, Flemeth goes as far as stealing men to create an entire army of monstrous daughters.
4 Brigid Tenenbaum – BioShock

Brigid is one of the most villainous video game moms of all time. She’s a geneticist who helps Nazis and harvests a green liquid called ADAM for her own profit.
The true proof of Brigid’s evil is in her breeding of the Little Sisters, young girls who are brainwashed to serve ADAM. If it was up to Brigid, these girls would be unthinking, unfeeling vegetables. However, she eventually cares for them as a mother would and gets very upset with anyone trying to save them.

Benezia was brainwashed by a flagship called the Sovereign. She was destined to breed an extinct species of bugs called rachni.
Spiders in video games are scary, but the rachni give the worst creepy crawlies a run for their money. Even after the rachni go rogue, Benezia still has a natural rapport with the insectile creatures. Too bad she doesn’t have the same relationship with her biological daughter Liara T’Soni, a researcher who serves as a romantic interest for Commander Shepherd, the game’s main protagonist.
2 Alma Wade – F.E.A.R.
One of Gaming’s Most Terrifying Characters
Alma Wade has a reason to be evil. She was used in a series of experiments without her permission to harness her psychic powers for corporate gain.
Two of these experiments resulted in Alma becoming pregnant. She later also has the mysterious Third Child, conceived through truly horrific means. The F.E.A.R. trilogy is known for its games/”>startling jump scares and psychologically unsettling atmosphere, but it’s Alma Wade who stands out most. Alma is a hostile mother with extraordinary powers that she uses for pure evil.

Plus, Dahlia is said to have ties to serial killer Walter Sullivan, the antagonist of Silent Hill 4. Dahlia is a truly evil mom who definitely doesn’t deserve flowers or chocolates for Mother’s Day.
