The renowned creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama, passed away some time ago. Before passing, he left a glowing recommendation for Sand Land based on a manga series he authored in 2000. This recommendation was written in January 2024.

The late Toriyama shared his positive views on the game, expressing his enjoyment and highlighting the expansion of the original manga’s worldview with new elements. “I haven’t watched through all of the gameplay yet. However, it greatly expands the worldview of the original manga with many new exciting elements. It is high-quality as a stand alone game and I can tell it is a highly satisfying action-RPG game!
