Baldur’s Gate 3: How to Get Ring of Elemental Infusion

Baldur’s Gate 3 has many different types of items that can be picked up throughout your journey in Faerun. From potions to armor, magical weapons, or accessories, there are plenty of different possessions that have the potential to amplify your character builds, or even drastically change them to function much more effectively.

Rings are some of the most powerful items that can be equipped for your Tav or Companions in Baldur’s Gate 3, as they so often create extra buffs or perks for the equipped character, or provide extra Spells for their kit. Among the numerous rings available in the game, the Ring of Elemental Fusion stands out for Half-Casters in particular, enabling these builds to be much more versatile in combat. For this reason, knowing where you can source this item and how to get it can be very beneficial.

How to Get Ring of Elemental Infusion in Baldur’s Gate 3

To get the Ring of Elemental Infusion in Baldur’s Gate 3, you will first need to find your way to the Githyanki Creche. This can be achieved by heading to the Mountain Pass and following the trail to the wooden elevator. You will need to make a Strength Check to get this elevator to function, but once this has been completed, it will enable your party to travel down the hill to Rosymorn Monastery.

Next, you will need to work your way down to the basement of Rosymorn Monastery, which is where the Creche is located. The easiest way to achieve this is by climbing the vines of the building to reach the rooftop, and then using a character equipped with the Feather Fall Spell to enable your party to jump safely down to the bottom floor of the building. Once here, you can simply follow the staircase down to the basement door, which will enable you to enter the Creche.

Once you reach the entrance to the Creche, you will be stopped by a series of guards. At this point, you will need to either undergo an Intimidation or Persuasion Check to allow yourself and your party safe passage into the Creche or get past the guards by taking them on in combat and killing them off. After you have worked your way inside through one of these methods, you will now need to locate the Githyanki Creche’s Infirmary room, which can be found at the approximate coordinates of X: 1321, Y: -824. Inside a small room on the left of the Infirmary is a Githyanki named Gish Umr’a’ac – the individual holding the Rindg of Elemental Infusion.

When it comes to obtaining this item, you have two options:

  1. You can initiate combat and kill Gish Umr’a’ac, as well as the other Githyanki in the Infirmary, looting the item from his corpse once the battle is over.
  2. You can find a way to pickpocket the item from him using a highly dexterous character such as your designated Rogue or Ranger.

If your Tav is neither a Rogue nor Ranger, then Astarion should be more than capable of getting the job done, as long as you haven’t respected his Base Class. However, due to the amount of other Gith in the room, pickpocketing can be very tricky to pull off, as it is difficult to use the Hide Action, and then stay hidden long enough to complete the theft.

However, there are ways you can make this easier for yourself, such as using Find Familiar to create a distraction and turn the Gith away, or the Darkness Spell to give your character somewhere to hide, hopefully making the pickpocket attempt much easier to pull off.

Ring of Elemental Infusion Perks & How to Get the Most Value, Explained

ring of elemental infusion

Ring of Elemental Infusion Perks

  • Elemental Infusion: When you deal Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder damage using Spell or Cantrip, that element infuses your weapon. Until the end of your next turn, you deal an additional 1d4 damage of that element on your first successful weapon attack.

This ring is perfect for characters who utilize both spellcasting and melee combat, rotating between the two. This makes the Ring of Elemental Infusion perfect for Half-Caster builds who can not only proc the Elemental Infusion ability but also maximize damage dealt on the next weapon attack (before the bonus +1d4 Infused Elemental damage). Keeping this in mind, the best Class choices for wielding the Ring of Elemental Infusion are as follows:

  • Eldritch Knight Fighter
  • Arcane Trickster Rogue
  • Pact of the Blade Warlock
