Destiny 2: Xur Exotic Armor, Weapon, and Recommendations for March 1

Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. As Season of the Wish continues on, next week sees the return of another Destiny 2 seasonal event. games-2024/”>Guardian games All-Stars arrives on March 5, and while the premise is similar to how it was in previous years, Bungie is making a few tweaks to the scoring, while also adding a Diamond tier medal, and introducing the first new exotic vehicle in the franchise’s history with the skimmer board.

In addition to the latest Guardian games event, March 5 is also bringing with it a massive Destiny 2 update, which Bungie has largely been breaking down over the last few weeks in its weekly blogs. Nearly every aspect of Destiny 2 is getting tweaked, from player abilities, improvements to PvP, weapon balancing, and many more sandbox-related changes.

Until then though, the weekend merchant Xur has returned again with a whole selection of exotics and legendary gear for Destiny 2 players over the next few days. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of March 1, 2024.

Where is Xur?

Over the next few days, Destiny 2 players can locate Xur at the Tower Hangar.

Fast travel to the Tower and upon loading in, take a left and head down towards the Tower area. Xur can be found on the left side of the Hangar on a metal platform overlooking the mountains off in the distance.

Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

Lunafaction Boots – Warlock leg armor

Exotic Perk:

• Alchemical Etchings – Your Rifts gain the additional ability to increase weapon reload speeds. Empowering Rift makes weapons effective over longer ranges.

At one point, these were the exotics to own as a Warlock, though in recent years, they have not achieved the same level of popularity. The stats are technically the worst of the three, but it’s still a solid 64 overall, so it may be worth picking up to replace a worse roll.

• Resilience +10
• Recovery +20
• Discipline +7
• Intellect +23
• Strength +2

Fr0st-EE5 – Hunter leg armor

Exotic Perk:

• Rapid Cooldown – Increased grenade, melee, and dodge regeneration while sprinting. Dodging increases your sprint speed.

The “frosties” feature a solid roll this week, with high points in Mobility and Discipline. Still, these exotics aren’t exactly near the top of the Hunter meta at the moment, though the perk on them is fairly useful in certain situations.

• Mobility +18
• Resilience +10
• Recovery +6
• Discipline +15
• Intellect +7
• Strength +10

Peregrine Greaves – Titan leg armor

Exotic Perk:

• Peregrine Strike – All shoulder charge abilities (Seismic Strike, Hammer Strike, or Shield Bash) deal bonus damage when activated in the air. Damaging mini-bosses, Tormentors, or Champions with shoulder charge refunds your melee. Provides a small benefit to the airborne effectiveness stat of all weapons.

The big winner this week are Titans with a 68 roll of Peregrine Greaves. The most unfortunate aspect of this is the fact that Mobility is much higher than normal at 21 overall, something which typically doesn’t suit this class the best. Still, they might still be worth a look as the stat roll is still fairly high, and they turn Titans into melee monsters.

Xur’s Exotic Weapon

The exotic weapon this week is the D.A.R.C.I. sniper rifle, a gun capable of inflicting high amounts of precision damage, while also giving the player valuable information on the target.

Weapon Perks:

• Personal Assistant – Aim at an enemy to view its health and other critical information in the scope.
• Target Acquired – When Personal Assistant is active, this weapon has better target acquisition, deals significantly more precision damage, and jolts the target.
• Extended Barrel
• Extended Mag
• Short-Action Stock

Hawkmoon Hand Cannon Perk Rolls

At this point, Xur is only selling Hawkmoon with randomized rolls, but its time is limited once Harbinger is ultimately added to the Exotic Mission Rotator and makes the hand cannon craftable. Either way, here is the roll Xur has this weekend:
