Fallout 76: How To Get The Cremator

The Cremator is a heavy weapon that’s somewhere between a Flamer and an Auto Grenade Launcher. It’s one of the more unique weapon options in Fallout 76, and players will want to get their hands on it if they’re a fan of big explosions.

This flame-spitting cannon quickly became one of the best weapons in Fallout 76. Its capacity for destruction is nearly unmatched, especially once you get one with solid legendary effects. Here’s how to get this weapon.

How To Get The Cremator in Fallout 76

The Cremator in Fallout 76

The Cremator is a craft-only weapon, and you can get the plans for it only by reaching Rank 22 in Fallout 76’s Season 16 Scoreboard. Thankfully, it’s free for everyone — you don’t need a Fallout 1st subscription in order to get it. Once Season 16 ends, the Cremator will no longer be obtainable unless it reappears in the Atom Shop or is added back into the game some other way.

Once you’ve claimed the Cremator plans, it’ll become available for crafting at any Weapons Workbench, assuming you have at least one rank of the Science Expert perk equipped. The full list of materials needed to craft a Level 50 Cremator is as follows:

  • Adhesive x13
  • Asbestos x17
  • Copper x12
  • Rubber x16
  • Screws x14
  • Steel x36
  • Spring x14

These materials are commonly used in the crafting and maintenance of other weapons. Looking for Screws in Fallout 76 can be particularly problematic since almost every gun needs them — if you need some, your best bet is to scrap Desk Fans and Typewriters, which you can find in office areas. Sugar Grove is a good place to start. If Asbestos is what you need, then try farming some Snallygasters in the Flooded Trainyard in Watoga.

The Cremator lobs balls of fire that explode on contact, dealing immediate Fire damage to everything in its blast radius. Targets struck by the blast will also suffer from a Burn DoT effect. The weapon can be further improved by equipping mods. You can unlock Cremator mod plans by progressing further into the Scoreboard. Each shot costs 10 Fuel, making it very expensive to use for extended durations.

Bloodied builds work extremely well with the Cremator since the damage boost it provides also affects the Burn DoT. If you’re going down this route, we highly recommend bringing one of Fallout 76’s many suits of Power Armor so you don’t get instantly killed while at low health. Other good legendary effects for this weapon are Anti-Armor for stronger impact damage, and +Damage while Aiming, as this also affects Burn damage.
