The following article contains spoilers for season one of Fallout

Among the fantastic array of characters in Prime’s Fallout series, which includes Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul, fan-favorite and awkward vault dweller Norm, played by Moisés Arias, is probably the most relatable out of them all. While he struggles to hold down a job in the midst of the mundane, this underdog of the pack was initially seen as just Lucy’s brother, but as the show furthered, Norm’s character development did too.

Taking on quite a chunk of plotlines on his own, Norm investigates the strange going’s on within Vault’s 31, 32 and 33 and opens up a whole can of worms in the process that changes the narrative of the series. In a recent interview, Moisés Arias talks about how important his character’s role is within the Vaults.

Fallout Fans Debate Who Should Play The Mysterious Stranger In Season 2

Fallout fans have spoken about who they would love to see play The Mysterious Stranger in season 2.

Talking to GameRant, Moises Arias opened up about how Norm may have appeared “normal” at first, but his character arc began to change into someone who had a nose for the truth and a heart for justice. “Norm was always very observant and seeing things were off in his world,” said Arias referring to his character’s eagle eye and gut instinct that led him to uncover what was happening in the three vaults and also how this same intuition made him speak up about what should be done with the Raiders that were imprisoned for their attack in episode one.

Speaking about Norm’s duties within the vault and also his sister Lucy’s role, Arias said that even though he stayed while Lucy went off into the Wasteland, they both had important roles to play separately. “They’re both very strong in their own ways,” he remarked.

Arias also spoke about the power of a name and how it was ironic that his character, even with the name Norm, was anything but “normal”. “I think a name psychologically really does affect your daily life, and I think it definitely affects or influences how you approach your character or your scenes.” Arias continues, “Norm definitely exudes an aura with the name itself, and yeah, it’s kind of funny that he’s not your normal Vault Dweller.”

At the end of Fallout season one, Norm finds himself in a bit of a pickle, but if he does manage to get his way back to season 2, it may prove that Norm has just as much courage and survival skills as anyone gave him credit for. Speaking about if Norm does find a way out of the pod, Arias says, “I think there’s not just one or two options. Now, do I know what the possibilities are? No, but I’m hoping there’s something that can be done with his hacking skills or his ability to see other things that aren’t totally obvious.”
