Ferrari reveals Fiorano test programme

Just a few days after the Miami Grand Prix, Scuderia Ferrari is back in action, working on its own Fiorano test track this time around. The Italian team will conduct work with four drivers over the stretch of two days.

The Italian outfit is working today with two cars, the 2022 F1-75 and the 2024 SF-24 with reserve drivers Oliver Bearman and Arthur Leclerc and race driver Carlos Sainz getting behind the wheel of the cars. Working together with the sport’s governing body, the FIA, today’s programme will revolve around the spray guards.

This device was first trialled at Silverstone after last year’s British Grand Prix. With the spray guards, the sport seeks to improve the visibility problems drivers face in the rain which has become the primary concern when running on a damp track.

The second day of testing will feature the 200 km filming day to capture images with the traditional livery featuring the HP logo on the 2024 SF-24. Sainz will stay in Fiorano, and will be joined by Charles Leclerc.

The two reserve drivers, Bearman and Leclerc will also be in action as Ferrari will run the F1-75 under the Testing of Previous Car rule.
