Ferrari reveals plan and full schedule for Fiorano track activities

Following a third place for Charles Leclerc and a fifth position for Carlos Sainz in the Miami Grand Prix at the Miami International Autodrome in Florida, Scuderia Ferrari is already looking ahead to the next Formula 1 world championship race in Imola on May 17-19. At the track named after Enzo and Dino Ferrari, the Prancing Horse will introduce, as is known, its first major aerodynamic package of the year, hoping to close the gap with Red Bull and make further progress.

However, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the updated version of the SF-24—and thus make the necessary comparisons with simulator data, during the 200 km filming day scheduled for Friday, May 10, at the Fiorano circuit. On the test day, the car will display its traditional livery with the addition of the HP brand—marking the color scheme that will accompany it for the rest of the championship and differing from that used in Miami.

The testing program

Detailing the track activities at Fiorano, here is the plan set up by the Ferrari team – starting already tomorrow:
– Thursday, May 9, there will be an FIA Test with spray guards on two cars, a 2022 F1-75 and a 2024 SF-24, with Arthur Leclerc, Oliver Bearman, and Carlos Sainz taking turns driving.
– Friday, May 10, will feature the 200 km filming day to capture images with the traditional livery featuring the HP logo on the 2024 SF-24, driven by Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc.
Also, on the second day, the F1-75 in TPC version (Testing of Previous Car, paragraph 10.2 of the technical regulations) will be seen on the track with Arthur Leclerc and Oliver Bearman driving.
