What if you wanted to log in to a new logistical data center in Europe to play Final Fantasy XIV, but Naoki Yoshida looked upon you and personally said no? The new logistical data center, Shadow, is going to be added to the game’s data center selection following maintenance on May 7th. However, players will not be able to actually access the data center, and trying to do so will result in an error. You don’t get to be on the new center.
What do you have to do? Move to Berlin? Kiss Vrtra right on his big scaly mouth? Apologize for calling the protagonist of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth “Clod Stroof?” None of the above, as it turns out; the three new worlds available on the data center will be opened on a later date depending on concurrent logins, so it’s just not accessible yet. But it’s there and being prepared ahead of Dawntrail in a couple of months. You just can’t go there yet.
