Granblue Fantasy: Relink Gets Version 1.2 Update

Cygames has detailed the new content that will arrive in updates 1.2.0 and 1.3.0 of Granblue Fantasy: Relink. In addition to adding two new characters to the solid cast of Granblue Fantasy: Relink, the updates bring improvements to existing characters, bug fixes, new missions, and more.

New Characters, New Quests, and More

The first months of this 2024 in the world of video games were dominated by major Japanese releases. From a new installment of the Yakuza series to the great sequel that was Dragon’s Dogma 2, there was something for everyone. Granblue Fantasy: Relink was one of those games, which brought the popular Granblue Fantasy to consoles with an Action JRPG like few others.

Fans of the game continue to demand more content, and Cygames is now preparing for the biggest update of the game, version 1.2

The studio presented the new details of this version in a recorded livestream, which featured English subtitles so that not only the Japanese audience could enjoy the discussion. There, Cygames showed a lot of new content that will be added to Granblue Fantasy: Relink with the new update, led by two new characters: Seofon and Tweyen.

These fighters, belonging to the group The Eternals that encompasses the strongest in the Granblue Fantasy universe, will have a different recruitment method. The game will add two new missions, one of normal difficulty and one of hard difficulty, which will reward players with the items necessary to recruit these new characters.

The missions are inspired by the Unite and Fight event from the original version of Granblue Fantasy, which is what allows recruiting these same characters in that game. In addition to the new characters that will be free, Cygames talked about other additions that will be available in version 1.2 and also about the content of version 1.3 coming in May without a set date.

Everything Is Going According To The Roadmap

Along with update 1.2, a balancing patch will also arrive, which promises to improve the clumsier skills of various characters to make them easier to use. Additionally, as premium content, a gesture pack, new colors for the characters, and a pass that automatically unlocks Seofon and Tweyen for those who wish to avoid the new missions will be added.

Version 1.3 will also add, for free, the new character Sandalphon, and also plans to include a Photo mode, a map function, a function to combine badges, new missions, and new control options. Update 1.2.0 arrives on April 26 for Granblue Fantasy: Relink, while update 1.3.0, as mentioned earlier, arrives in May without a set date at the moment.

Most of the added content is endgame, so those who want to make the most of the updates will need to master their best characters to face the Proud difficulty.
