A new major order in Helldivers 2 has just been announced, and it forces players to make a choice between liberating Choohe or Penta from the Automaton threat. This announcement follows the previous one, which garnered a lot of attention in the Helldivers 2 community, and fans discerned it to be the new Helldivers 2 stratagems teaser.

The developers of Helldivers 2 are teasing two new potential stratagems that could soon be arriving to the popular shooter title.

Helldivers 2 recently revealed the new major order via Twitter, which will force players to choose between liberating Choohe or Penta in the Lacaille Sector, both of which are under Automaton occupation and have fallen during the Enduring Bulwark Operation. Depending on the players’ choice, players will receive either the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines or the RL-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher, with the former being far better at winning defensive Helldivers 2 campaigns.

Mines are a type of equipment that favors strategic thinking. They allow players to control the battlefield through area denial, especially against armored units such as these. On the other hand, the Airburst Rocket Launcher is a straightforward weapon that provides a lot of firepower immediately. It shines the best when used from long-range, against Terminid charges. For fans of pure firepower, such as that offered by the best flamethrower build in Helldivers 2, it’s the right choice.

Helldivers 2 Players Find it Difficult to Choose Between Liberating Choohe and Penta

Helldivers 2 fans are not to be underestimated, however. After all, they have recently completed an impossible Helldivers 2 major order, by defending 10 planets at once, a feat not accomplished since the game launched. And, with the morale boost, many are now calling for both planets to be liberated to eliminate the need to choose. However, rewards are only received upon completing major orders, not by merely participating in them, which can doom the players to not receiving any rewards should neither planet get liberated in the event of splitting the forces too thin between the two planets.

It is worth noting that the current major order is liberating planets, not defending them, which is harder to accomplish, and a united front is needed. Unfortunately, the community’s history indicates that Helldivers 2 players are bad at communication and cannot organize a united front on any point, despite the irony of doing so in a satirical game that comments on the worst sides of imperialism and a totalitarian government.
