I stumbled upon this film while browsing through Horror blogs, where it was being promoted extensively. The more I learned about it, the more I realized that this movie was right up my alley.

The storyline revolves around “the abductee,” portrayed by Braxton Hale. Convinced that he has been repeatedly abducted by aliens, he embarks on a mission to prove his experiences to the world. He strategically installs miniature cameras in various places, including his hearing aid, which go undetected by the aliens. This allows him to document every aspect of his abductions.

Throughout the film, viewers are immersed in his abduction experiences and encounters with the Men In Black. The portrayal of the aliens, based on descriptions of the greys, is particularly chilling. The combination of exceptional makeup and visual effects creates an unforgettable depiction of these extraterrestrial beings.

The character of the female alien-human hybrid, portrayed by Emily Bramer, is captivating and beautifully portrayed. Her curiosity and innocence as she observes “the abductee,” hinting at the possibility of carrying his child, add depth to her character. Her attempts at communication further enhance the complexity of her role.

Director Patrick L. Donnelly employed innovative techniques in filming THE ALIEN REPORT, using an iPhone and a GoPro to achieve a “selfie-video” style reminiscent of content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. This approach immerses the audience in the UFO encounters, providing a firsthand and intense experience through the perspective of hidden cameras.

One aspect that adds to the authenticity of the film is its basis on real alien abduction cases. Donnelly incorporated details from actual abductee accounts into the narrative, enhancing its credibility. Despite its relatively short runtime of less than 90 minutes, every moment of the film contributes meaningfully to the story, drawing viewers in from the start.
