Manor Lords Price Finally Revealed as Steam Player Count Soars Past 100k

In the run-up to its release, speculation regarding what the Manor Lords price will be has been rife. Now, though, the game has finally launched on Steam, and we know how much it’s costing players, although the cost certainly isn’t deterring anyone if player numbers are anything to go by.

Manor Lords launched today after a fairly lengthy period of development, and it looks like the regular retail price will be $39.99, although the game is currently on sale at a 25% discount, which means it costs $29.99 at time of writing.

Many players seem to be more than happy to pay that price, however, as according to Steam data analysis site SteamDB, the Manor Lords player count has soared past 120k within just a few hours of the game’s release.

Manor Lords‘ medieval city-building has attracted tens of thousands of players.

User reviews are pouring in on Steam as well, and Slavic Magic and Hooded Horse will be pleased to know that the majority of them appear to be positive. Manor Lords has, at time of writing, attracted a Very Positive rating on Steam, with 89% of user reviews being positive assessments.

Players are praising Manor Lords‘ visuals, authenticity, and engaging gameplay, although many reviews (both positive and negative) point out that the game doesn’t have a huge amount of content at the moment.

Given the way in which Slavic Magic addressed player expectations prior to Manor Lords‘ launch, particularly with regards to a potential post-release roadmap, this influx of thumbs-up endorsements will no doubt come as a relief to the studio.

Manor Lords‘ performance on Steam is also impressive considering that it’s part of the games“>April Xbox Game Pass lineup, which means subscribers don’t need to pay an extra penny in order to enjoy it.

If you haven’t heard of Manor Lords, it’s a medieval city-builder that allows you to construct and oversee your very own town, as well as engage in Total War-style large-scale strategic battles.

For a long time, the game topped Steam’s list of most-wishlisted games, so its success is perhaps not a surprise, but it’s nice to see a project from a smaller studio succeed in this way.

Manor Lords is available right now on PC via Steam Early Access. Stay tuned for more.
