Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, a new version of the ultra-rare Nintendo World Championships game, is coming to the Switch on Thursday, July 18. Switch gamers will have the choice between a digital version of the game or a physical Deluxe Set version that comes with some extra goodies. With Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition leaked ahead of its announcement, one has to wonder if Nintendo had always planned to announce the game now or if it was originally going to be saved for the June 2024 Direct. As it stands, all fans know about the June 2024 Nintendo Direct is that it will not feature the Switch 2 console, and will instead focus entirely on Switch software, particularly games that are coming out in the second half of 2024. Regardless, Nintendo fans can pre-order Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition now.
