  • Achieving the most wishlisted title status on Steam before launch, Manor Lords now boasts over 150,000 concurrent players.
  • Manor Lords has impressed with high concurrent player counts, positive reviews, and a 25% discount for eager players.

Manor Lords, a new medieval strategy game with in-depth city-building mechanics and large-scale battles, has smashed its way into Steam‘s top six most-played games in just a matter of hours.

Developer Slavic Magic describes this early access Steam game as a “medieval strategy game featuring in-depth city building, large-scale tactical battles, and complex economic and social simulations.” Clearly, the concept of a medieval strategy game combined with intricate city-building mechanics is one that appeals to, I don’t know, over 100,000 people?

Just four days before its early access launch, Manor Lords managed to achieve the impressive feat of becoming Steam’s most wishlisted game, as noticed by GamesRadar. It’s an impressive accomplishment in itself, but when you take into account that it overtook the likes of Hades II, Black Myth: Wukong, Hollow Knight: Silksong, ARK 2, and other highly-anticipated titles, it becomes even more impressive.

With over 3 million wishlists, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Manor Lords is absolutely killing it in the concurrent player count department. According to SteamDB, an unofficial database that tracks player count, pricing, and more, Manor Lords peaked at 159,701 players. That means it’s overtaken the likes of Helldivers 2, Fallout 4, Rust, and Call of Duty.

It’s also doing amazingly well in terms of player reviews, too. At the time of writing this article, there are over 8,300 reviews with a “very positive” rating on the platform.

In a wholesome launch message to the game’s player base, Hooded Horse’s CEO thanked the community for its support and reminded players that there is no pressure to buy the game just yet. Not only because of each individual’s financial situation, but because “early access isn’t for everyone.”

If you are eager to jump into Manor Lords though, it’s currently 25% off on Steam for 2 weeks. The publisher’s CEO also noted that it will “run those 25% discounts often” in order to give fans plenty of opportunities to get the game at a later date.
