Switch 2 to Get SEGA & ATLUS Remakes, According to Leaks

Leaks suggest that a number of remakes from developers SEGA and ATLUS will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2!

Rumors surrounding Nintendo’s next console, a successor to the Switch, have been hotting up in recent weeks. This includes a number of new leaks surrounding the Switch 2’s features, as well as the supposed March 2025 release date for the console.

However, in addition to leaks about the console itself, we now have a good idea about some third-party games that could release on the Switch 2. And it’s good news for fans of SEGA and ATLUS.

SEGA Remakes Could Head to Switch 2

Well-known gaming leaker Midori claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that “every ATLUS and SEGA remake is releasing on Switch 2”. This was in response to a tweet about a supposed Jet Set Radio reboot.

SEGA announced five remakes at The Game Awards 2023. If Midori is correct, we expect all of the following titles to come to Switch 2:

  • Jet Set Radio
  • Shinobi
  • Golden Axe
  • Streets of Rage
  • Crazy Taxi

Furthermore, Midori has previously stated that ATLUS is working on remakes of Persona 1, 2 and 4, in addition to a remake of a PS2-era Shin Megami Tensei. These will also be released on Switch 2, provided Midori’s information is correct.

In addition to this, we expect that the recent Persona 3 Reload will also make its way to Switch 2.

If SEGA is working to release its games on Switch 2, this could also open the door for another franchise to make its long-awaited Nintendo debut.

It’s surprising that no Yakuza titles have come to the Switch, but we expect that’ll change with the Switch 2.

A leak from September 2023 suggested that the Switch 2 would launch with a Yakuza collection. Now, this further claim from Midori about SEGA releasing remakes for the Switch 2 gives further credibility to this rumor.

While none of this information is confirmed, so many SEGA games releasing on the Switch 2 would be great news. While Nintendo always has a great first-party offering, these SEGA titles would certainly alleviate any third-party worries that gamers might have!

Stay tuned for any upcoming Nintendo Direct presentations – we expect that the Switch 2 reveal will be in Fall 2024. Hopefully, Nintendo will announce at least one of these highly-requested Switch 2 launch titles alongside the console!
