As Merced climbs into the shoes of survivor Dina for The Last of Us season 2, the actor has given fans a little tidbit of hot gossip about what to look forward to when the show rolls around next year. Chatting with Buzzfeed, Merced said that the long wait will finally be worth it and also there will be a particular scene that will set tongues wagging across the internet, especially Twitter/X. “It’s really, really exciting,” she said. “There’s a scene in particular that I think is going to be on everyone’s Twitter feed.”

Although Merced didn’t elaborate further on what this specific scene could be because, let’s face it, there are so many brilliantly shocking parts in The Last of Us Part 2, she could be referring to Joel’s death scene, which will definitely involve plenty of pearl-clutching from those who never played the game. But since she personally mentions it, it could be in reference to her and Ellie’s make-out session in the weed basement or when she and Ellie kissed for the first time while dancing, causing a bit of a stir with a particular bigot.

Either way, being a fan of everything TLOU, I cannot wait to see what Merced is referring to and also how Ellie and Dina’s relationship evolves throughout season 2. It’s surely to be a wild ride.
