‘The Seeding’ Exclusive Clip: A Nighttime Attack

Filmmaker Barnaby Clay has a very distinct visual style, which can be seen in his work on music videos for artists such as Rihanna and Take That. Now, he’s giving Horror audiences a glimpse into his style with his new film The Seeding, a bizarre yet hypnotic indie chiller dripping with a rancid (meant positively here) atmosphere.

In The Seeding:

Wyndham is a photographer who comes across a small child as he is photographing a solar eclipse. Trying to help the child, he soon finds himself lost and trapped in a desert canyon where he stumbles upon a small shack habited by a lone woman, Alina. As he tries to figure a way out, he comes to realize that she is being held against her will—and both of them have become playthings for a group of sadistic and violent teens.

In his review from the film’s premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival, Dread Central’s Chad Collins wrote,

“The Seeding is a terrifying primal scream across scorched earth. Barnaby Clay’s feature directorial debut navigates lunar cycles of savagery and existential isolation, interrogating the frenzied nature of the modern world and the roots of pernicious masculinity.”

The tiny cast features Scott Haze (Jurassic World) and indie Horror darling Kate Lyn Sheil (She Dies Tomorrow).
