Where to Use the Flower Key in Baldur’s Gate 3

The Flowery Key in Baldur’s Gate 3 is another random key to add to your collection of keys for unknown areas that you may have missed (or haven’t gotten to yet). Still, it is worth figuring out its use because the key is required to complete two separate quests and will gain you access to the Lower City. However, there are a few things to know before learning where to use the Flower Key that will save you time.

How To Get The Flower Key In Baldur’s Gate 3

The Flowery Key must be looted from a corpse in the crypts of the Open Hand Temple, located at coordinates X -22, Y: -3, on the west side of Rivington. Once at the Open Hand Temple, speak to Sister Yannis to trigger the “Solve the Open Hand Temple Murders” quest.

Then, head to the crypts using an Ornate Wood Hatch in the temple’s kitchen. If you inspect the key, you’ll find it points you to Fraygo’s Flophouse.

Where To Use The Flower Key In Baldur’s Gate 3

Before visiting Fraygo’s Flophouse, head to the Sharess’ Caress brothel, as shown in the map above, and speak with Mamzell Amira. Pick the dialogue option that asks her about the Stern Librarian. She says that Ffion Goldgrind has gone missing and asks for help finding her, which will automatically start the “Find the ‘Stern Librarian’ Ffion” quest.

After speaking with Mamzell Amira, travel to Fraygo’s Flophouse, which is across from the brothel at coordinates X: -9, Y: 86.

Once there, use the stairs to reach the second floor. Then, head right and use the ladder to enter the attic. The ladder’s coordinates are X: -12, Y: 87.

The attic has a locked wardrobe located at coordinates X: -17, Y: 82, which the Flowery Key unlocks. Unlocking the wardrobe will reveal a secret room that the Cult of Bhaal used.

Be sure to investigate both objective points once inside the secret room:

1. Temple Plans: Located on the table
2. Blood Stains: Located next to the bed

Investigating each location will progress both quests and allow you to turn them into Inspector Valeria and Mamzell Amira back at the Sharess’ Caress brothel. Find Inspector Valeria on the first floor of the brothel and report back to him. He will ask you to speak with Devella and give you a pass, allowing you into the fortress and access the Lower City. He will also mark the Solve the Open Hand Temple Murders quest as completed.

However, before you go to Lower City, speak with Mamzell Amira again, tell her what you learned about what happened to Ffion Goldgrind, and request payment. She will let you pick one of the Drow twins to sleep with as a reward. The “Finding the ‘Stern Librarian’ Ffion” quest will be marked as completed, and you will no longer need The Flower Key in Baldur’s Gate 3.
