Even though a lot of Activision games feature males predominantly as the stars, there are quite a few female heroines too. For example, the Tenchu games have been largely forgotten but at one time Ayame lit up the screen with her ninja skills like in Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins.
Activision also used to publish a lot of X-Men games like X-Men Legends and a fan favorite, Psylocke, was playable. So, there are a lot of female heroes that could be cited, but fans may be wondering about villains. Are there any that stick out between core Activision and Blizzard games?
6 Dr. N. Tropy (Female Version)
A Time Traveling Villain Who Wants To See Crash Bandicoot Dead
Dr. N. Tropy was a villain that was introduced in Crash Bandicoot: Warped on the PS1. He had the power of time and sent Crash and Coco through a series of warp points like to the Great Wall of China. It was a fun gimmick for a Crash Bandicoot game that returned in this long-awaited sequel.
Instead of distinct periods though, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time focused on alternate dimensions. For example, there was a female version of Dr. N. Tropy that had already succeeded in killing Crash and Coco. She lent her expertise to her male counterpart and Dr. Neo Cortex to do the same thing to their menacing bandicoots.
5 Widowmaker

Widowmaker is one of the most popular characters in the Overwatch franchise. This is despite her being a villain which is always hard to remember since villains and heroes can intermingle in matches. It’s one of those things players have to ignore to have fun rather than worry about lore.
5 Activision Franchises We’d Love To See Return
Microsoft has announced its acquisition of Activision, which might hopefully lead to the revival of these franchises.
Widowmaker’s skills with a sniper rifle are unmatched and she could probably take on some of the best in the industry like Sniper Wolf from Metal Gear Solid. Widowmaker is not alone as a female villain either. Moira and Sombra are also good picks, but Widowmaker will always steal the hearts of loyal fans thanks to her backstory, looks, and her deadly talents as an assassin.
4 Valeria Garza

Valeria is one of the main villains in the reboot of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. She’s part of the Mexican drug cartel that players are trying to stop or are at least assisting in stopping. Vargas is the man within Mexico who has a grudge against Valeria and her men as they used to be close within the same unit.
Valeria abandoned all that to get rich and control a global-spanning empire. Her methods are ruthless and yet players can make a deal with her to catch an even bigger fish. While it seems like a trap, the information does prove to be useful. Valeria is so bad that she can’t even be trusted within other criminal organizations. She’s in it for herself and that’s lower than low.
3 Sarah Kerrigan

Sarah used to be a hotshot Ghost agent, fighting for good in the first StarCraft. Eventually, she is captured by the Zerg aliens who proceed to torture and experiment on Sarah. She eventually becomes a whole other entity known as the Queen of Blades, master of the Zerg.
It’s a tragic story that doesn’t have an arc wherein she gets redeemed. After being captured, Sarah is forever the Queen of Blades in the rest of the series. She’s without a doubt the biggest villain in the franchise and maybe even the biggest or most recognizable character overall.

X-Men Legends was a top-down Action RPG that was a big hit on the PS2 and all other platforms. Players could assume the roles of classic heroes like Cyclops, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and so on. They would face Magneto and his fellow Mutant villains including a few female standouts. Marrow is one of them and she’s a character that doesn’t get highlighted in media as often as she should.
Her powers are generally creepy as Marrow can grow bones and extrude them out of her skin to use as weapons. Thankfully, this is not accompanied by blood in the game. She’s a tough boss in X-Men Legends as Marrow proves that female Mutants can fight just as well as males whether they be good or bad. Besides this appearance, fans may remember her from Marvel Vs Capcom 2.
1 Lilith
The Antagonist Of Diablo 4 Who Infects The World With Darkness
Lilith made Diablo 4. Not literally, it was crafted by the talented team within Blizzard who made an unforgettable adventure with a lot of improvements for the series. From the non-linear story to the open-world environments to the horses, it all worked well together. Lilith’s presence helped the game find an identity though. Most villains in the series take a backseat to the Action and appear only occasionally in major cutscenes or toward the end of the games.
Lilith, however, is omnipresent in the story, infecting the world with her dark promises. As the daughter of Diablo, it makes sense that she would have such a strong hold on humanity. The truly great thing about her though is that she isn’t evil for evil’s sake. There is a reason and it can somewhat be empathized with. Who could deny that the daughter of Hell is one of the greatest villains in recent history?
