Ready to increase your power even more? It’s time to get your Type Soul Shunko! The overall process is much easier than you’d think, with both the base and advanced forms of your Shunko being fairly straightforward to obtain.

Type Soul Shunko
Having Shunko unlocked grants you the ability to boost your overall Hakuda DMG by 15%. Additionally, your attack speed gets a 10% boost, and your movement speed is also buffed by an unknown amount. When your Shunko is active, you get an outline around your character!
Unlocking Base Shunko
The optimal build for obtaining a Shunko is having 20 points in your Speed and 20 in your Hakuda. And by ‘optimal build’, I mean that these are the requirements to unlock it! There are no quests or boss fights to work through when unlocking the base Shunko – it’s as easy as pie.
How to Unlock Advanced Shunko
Once you have your base Shunko, you can now work towards your Advanced Shunko! Head over to Division 6, which is indicated by the flower icon on your map. Walk into the dojo, and search for the captain NPC – he has black hair and is wearing an outfit of yellow, black, and white.
He doesn’t have a name above his head to display who he is, so just keep an eye out for these colours! He stands on a raised section of blue flooring by a table and cushions. Some players have stated that you need to have 3 Hogyoku Fragments in your inventory when speaking to him, so keep that in mind.
When you talk to him, he asks you to partake in a race and then teleports you outside. Defeat all of the NPCs that are lined up on your side before your opponent gets through their line. If you succeed, you will then unlock your Advanced Shunko. You won’t know which Shunko you’ve obtained without activating it for the first time!
Shunko Types
Ice and Fire tend to be the most popular Shunko types, whereas Wind is not overly favoured.
