Tales of the Arthurian Knights Available for Pre-Order By Wizkids

Wizkids has announced a brand new board game. It is a standalone sequel to Tales of the Arabian Nights, focusing on British myth. The aptly named Tales of the Arthurian Knights, will bring old tales of kings, knights, and chivalric nobility to the table.

According to an official press release, Tales of the Arthurian Knights has players take on the role of a Knight of the Round Table. You can competitively or cooperatively while meeting legendary figures, encounter fabled creatures, take on challenging quests, pursue lovers, and discover wondrous places of power.

A game of Tales of the Arthurian Knights will take players through several distinct eras. It will begin in the Golden Age of Camelot, move into The Quest for the Holy Grail, and culminate in the Final Wars of Britain.

Furthermore, as you play you will make meaningful narrative choices. During each encounter, the Book of Tales reveals the next steps of your story, and you decide how you respond, Through these choices, history may see you as a divine figure, a devoted romantic, or even as the villain of the realm.

As mentioned before, Tales of the Arthurian Knights uses a streamlined version of the gameplay and systems of 2009’s Tales of the Arabian Nights published by Z-Man games. If you have played the original, simply switch out Scheherazade’s tales, Ali Baba, and Sinbad for the likes of Lancelot, Merlin, and Gawain.
